Council Meetings: Located at: 124 S Main Street and starts at 5:30 P.M. every first and third Monday of the month and end when city business is completed.  Please check the calendar of events below for possible time changes/cancellations for these meetings.  

 City Statement: We hope you enjoy browsing this website and refer back often to keep up with what is happening in our area.  The site will give you a nice feel for what the City has to offer Mahnomen residents, Mahnomen County, and the White Earth Reservation as well as the thousands of tourists and guests which visit annually.  Every year in the month of August we host an annual Wild Rice Day 2024 features a  parade as well as a kiddie parade,  Arts & Craft vendors selling their beautiful tradework, food trucks/tents, a classic car Show and a so many wonderful locals, so come join us if you're in town! 

Residential Links: Mahnomen is the seat of Mahnomen County. It is a hub for trade, healthcare, education and recreation for those within a 40-mile radius. We boast the Mahnomen Health Hospital and ER; Essentia Health on Main St.  The City has strong choices in education including; Mahnomen Public School offers Pre-Kindergarten - 12th; St. Michael's Catholic School offering Pre-school - 6 grade; and the recently completed White Earth Tribal and Community College, Ghiizigan Arts Incubator-Art Gallery, and the Manoomin Arts Initiative. Shooting Star Casino & Hotel, which offers a large RV Parking lot, and features so many Headline Concerts and Comedy acts which not only locals enjoy but also brings many tourists from across country.  Mahnomen County also features the Mahnomen Country Club which boasts a beautiful 9-hole golf course just a few miles from out wonderful city so come and stay and don't forget to come downtown to visit too!
