City Statement: The City of Mahnomen is the gateway to not only some of the most beautiful country you will get to experience but offers amazing hunting and fishing opportunities! We are a small city but we have a lot to offer; benefits to living or working in Mahnomen are we have all the creature comforts with a small town feel like the Bruggemans Grocery store, two Auto Parts stores, a TrueValu Hardware and the Mahnomen Building Material stores. For us who love to read, Mahnomen has one of the best Public Library's in all of the surrounding area! For dining we have a very much loved Red Apple Cafe, an ever reliable but always delicious Subway, and if you want to enjoy a beer with your friends the Wild Rice Lounge offers a variety of really good pizzas, the Cenex store offers amazing fried chicken and more, the Manitok Mall offers fast food and so many other amenities like Morrisons Eye Clinic. Gordon's Construction, and Hobans Heating & Plumbing amd other local contractors. We have a Dollar General and just ten miles down the road in Waubun the all new B&T Meats; and for those of us ready to walk into the next realm, Andersons Funeral Home. Annually, the city hosts the Wild Rice Day Event which features a parade as well as a kiddie parade, many Art & Craft vendors selling their beautiful tradework, food trucks & tents, a classic car show and a so many wonderful locals, we would love for you to come join us if you're in town! So, if you're looking for a small town feel with a little more to offer, look at us!
