The Mahnomen Code of Ordinances was enacted on August, 18, 2014. A copy of the code is available for review at City Hall or you may view an online version here .

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP) APPLICATION FORM
A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) allows the property owner to use the land in a way the ordinance expressly permits. This fee is $175.00 and must be approved by neighbors and council.

A variance is a request to deviate from current zoning req's. If granted, it permits the owner to use the land in a manner not otherwise permitted by the zoning ordinance. It is not a change in the zoning law. Instead, it is a specific waiver of requirements of the zoning ordinance. Must go through council and The fee is $175
